You might lose some of the F-16 like forward visibility with a slider. I build
my RV3 with tip over for simplicity and to reduce construction time. The slider
does look cooler though I think.

I sometimes refer to my RV-3 (slider canopy) as my "Very Poor Man's
Mustang".
Taxi in with your elbow over the canopy rail, clamber out with a parachute
on your back, make tail chase motions with your hands. All very cool, all
great fun (if a bit unrealistic...)
