I'm considering using screws like the later RVs, but presume the small RV3 canopy is less prone to differential expansion and cracks than the larger ones. If you used screws, was tapping into the canopy tubes sufficient (perhaps using Pro-seal as a threadlocker). I don't think the diameter of the tubes (1/2 and 3/8 inch) allows Rivnuts. The canopy and tubes are now drilled to 1/8 every 2 1/2 inches. (and no cracks yet . . . !)
