Please understand that this message is for information only and may or may not be correct. BUT--------------- 1] When we installed the 5 fuselage floor ribs into our jig and attached them to the bulkhead frame [center section] we found that the pre bent front flanges on the 5 ribs were bent at an incorrect angle. We could not use them as they were supplied to us and had to rebend the front flanges so we could get the correct wing incidence angle as called out in the plans by Van. 2] The RV3 weldment for the tail spring was actually and RV4 weldment and it had to be trimmed in order for it to fit into the tail cone. 3] the large bottom tail cone skin was not furnished long enough to extend entirely over the frame bulkheads on the forward and aft edges, Therefore ------------ DO NOT trim the smaller .040 bottom rear skin at the front edge to match it to the fuselage bulkhead like the plans show! Wait with trimming that skin until you fit both skins where they overlap, you may need to have a row of rivets connecting the two skins. NOTE! The skins are supplied to the lengths called for in the plans, I believe the plans dimension is in error. Fred Hay Fred, I stumbled across a revised print for the fuselage bulkhead station positions might be the problem you are having.
