You should rough up the inside of the cowl where the inlet duct goes(With #40
grit sandpaper) and epoxy the duct in place. Use epoxy with cotton mill-ends
mixed in. I used a couple of pop rivets from the outside (CS 4-4 ) to be sure
they stay there.
This has worked well on both of my RV-4's.
