Matt,
Actually, no amount of contacts from AOL members will get this fixed. The
list administrator needs to contact AOL Network Operations and speak with the
Mail analyst to clear Matronics as a valid listserv and not a spammer. Also, I
would inquire about the complaints. They may be lazy people who have not
removed themselves from the listserv correctly and so filed a complaint.
As for contacting NetOps, I'm searching down some old phone numbers for you
now. I know it's on their web site I just never had to locate it from the
outside before. I used to work at that Mail Analyst station and this isn't that
uncommon a situation. A valid listserv is running along fine and then the AOL
Spam Jammer cuts in because of complaints or volume of emails. A phone call, a
few changes on the master Munge list and all is back to normal.
Like I said, I'll keep searching around for those contact numbers and get
them to you. I haven't needed them in over a year.
