    Subject: Dynon Magnetometer Location
--> RV4-List message posted by: N223RV@aol.com Has anyone installed a Dynon magnetometer in a -4? If so, where is a good location that seems to work? I'm having trouble finding a good spot that is away from ferrous material. The only place I can find is way back in the hell hole, but I still don't have 2' from any ferrous material. Any suggestions? -Mike Kraus N223RV flying

He built a small mount for it and hollowed out his seat cushion accordingly while running the wire under the floorboard... --> RV4-List message posted by: "Steve Mullins" <smullins@drury.edu> I want to thank you all for the many great suggestions regarding my mogas problems. I am pretty sure vapor lock is the source. Any ideas about how to better protect/insulate the mechanical fuel pump on my 0-290 from heat? I have two blast tubes routing air to it. Are there materials that can be used to fabricate some sort of insulating 'cocoon'around the pump?

I put mine on F-419, the shelf under the leading edge of the vertical stab. It works like a champ. No response on the magnetic display to full elevator excursion.
