Rabaut Subject: An offer to pay the fuel bill for an RV-4 Pilot who lost his way Mr. Scott, You don't know me, but I'm requesting your assistance (no this ain't one of those bogus multi-million dollar offers wanting your private bank account information). Actually I'm a Police Lieutenant at our local P.D. I build fly RV-4's and it appears that one of my colleagues (Jon Johanson) has inadvertently gotten himself in a predicament at your end of the universe. I live in Coalinga, California so it's a bit out of my reach to fly down lend this miscreant lad a helping hand. Would you please consider lending your help to expedite the acquisition of fuel for Mr. Johanson's aircraft; auto fuel will suffice. I will gladly provide my credit card information or wire transfer the funds for fuel to get him on his way. If you are ever up in my neck of the woods, please feel free to contact me and I'd gladly buy you dinner at the fanciest restaurant we can find. If you have any questions, or there is a specific process I should follow to assist this gentleman, please call me or email me your phone number and I'll call you. Thank you, Chuck Rabaut work(559) ************* ext. 139 home(559) ************* cell(559) ************* --------------------------------- ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 09:33:12 AM PST US From: "Pat Perry" Subject: RV4-List: RE: Our tax dollars --> RV4-List message posted by: "Pat Perry" Our government is spending millions to conduct "engineering and scientific research" in Antarctica while Jon J. is doing it for free. I'm ashamed that the US can't spare the $500 worth of fuel and time to help an Ausie who has done more per dollar in the area of engineering research than they ever could. This particular RV-4 aircraft is destined to spend eternity in a museum (if he ever stops setting records with it) and the pilot will be in the history books of aviation forever. This should be like the next best thing to having Lindbergh land in your farm field and our Gov is treating him like a vagrant pilot. Pat Perry Dallas, PA RV-4 N154PK Flies great! >From: "C.
