I am 6'3" and 195. I had to extend the rudder cables a bit and take some foam out
of the seat cushion. I fit with no problems...

What is the height of the tallest pilot you've seen comfortably fly an RV-4?  Any
idea whether it's the sitting height or the inseam that limits the height?


For taller pilots where does the instrument panel sit in relation to your knees-
is it in front or behind your kneecaps during rudder travel and about how close
is it to your knees?

Can any simple mods be done to allow for taller pilots?  Raising the lower edge
of the panel, adding a spacer to the canopy, dropping the seat a bit, etc?

I am 6' tall and 190# and my pilot seat is 3" cushion with a 2" styrofoam 
block under that . My headset clears the canopy OK. The rudders have the links

the length specified on the plans. I can put my feet against the firewall behind

the rudder pedals to fully extend my legs in flight.

Hello!
My question concerns priming/painting. I have just repainted my -4 which unfortunately
makes my quesion "out of date". Anyway, I am concerned with possible problems
with corrosion.
Old primer and paint was removed. Some local sanding was done around the tips etc.
where the alclad was disrupted. Now the question: I used 2-component etching
primer followed by an adhesion primer and then the paint. Is this sufficient
to protect from corrosion? If not, is there something I can do in this stage?
