Well, this one has me stumped! I have checked the archives and can't find a solution to this exact problem. When I attach my elevators to my Horiz Stab, I can only rotate the rod end bearings about 3-4 times into the nutplates to make everything fit "right". If I rotate the bearings more, then my elevators begin to protrude forward of the Horizontal Stab because of the decreased distance between the elevator spar and the horizontal stab. In other words, my weighted arms of my elevators may be slightly too long (or my horizontal stab is too short at the ends). It seems like the perfect solution would be to get a longer bearing than the "HEIM 3614M" but I can't find such a thing (I checked AC Sprice, Wicks, etc). A longer bearing would allow me to get a safe number of rotations into the nutplate without moving the elevator too far "forward". If anyone knows where to find a longer version of the HEIM 3614M, PLEASE let me know. Any other suggestions are welcomed. Thanks, Rick Stoffel
