FWIW,
I am generally a lurker on this board because I am a builder, and I have more to
learn at this point than to inform.
Since I am a builder, I am open to occasional good deals that will allow me to
save a few bucks along the way. As long as the advertising doesn't get out of
control--which I don't believe it has--then I (personally) don't have a problem
with occasional postings of the errant 'good deal'.
This board has FAR less traffic than the others that I subscribe to and generally,
I take interest in barely 20% of the messages on most boards because the majority
posts are from FLYING people NOT BUILDING people, which doesn't do me
a whole lot of good.
Just my $.02...
In regards to the off-list derisive email that you received, I feel that if the
email really was as foul as you say, then it is very hard to take comments from
such a person seriously. This is an environment filled with people who are
generally above-average in intelligence, commitment and professionalism. Mr. Lefler,
your post was not of a nature to provoke such immature comments.
