I fellow EAA'er in my chapter has VG's on his Long-Ez and says they make a difference
in landing speeds/distances.
What about the top end? Is there any reduction in max speed or increase fuel consumption?

Still working on getting some solid numbers for affect of max speed. My VGs (and
placement philosophy) are a little different than what others are using so
it's hard to say right now. Will definitely keep you all posted.
