After almost 9 years of construction, I don't think I've ever run into a more discouraging
and frustrating part of this project than the canopy assembly. Is
it just me or is this the most Mickey mouse-designed part of the airplane? The
aft skirts seem to have a mind of their own when it comes to how they want
to lay after trimming. I'm on my third set. And don't ask me about shimming!!!
This portion of the project has just about made me lose my religion. I was
about to take an axe to the airframe last week. Sorry for the rant but I had
to let the relief valve do it's thing. Somebody share their pain with me!

We built an HRII but that's just a -4 on steroids. I made the first two out
of light poster paper, the third on heavy poster board and used that to
layout the first of two metal ones before I got it "right", well kinda,
Gummibear just wanted "the d&*# thing on there so we can go flying". Our
rear skirt is one piece. When all else fails "Use Tenacity". KABONG
