I am new to this list. I have built a -9A and think I might now progress to a -4.
Before I order I would welcome some comment re the pros and cons of the electric
and manual trim. Also, how does the manual work. Is it a lever with a push/pull
cable or what?

I assume you are talking about pitch trim? I have the manual pitch and
aileron trim, besides the location of the pitch trim (left side, a bit
hard to reach back and adjust at times) it works great. It is a push
pull cable. The aileron trim is a simple offset lever with springs on
either side. As you move the lever one way, it puts more tension on the
opposite spring and slightly pulls the aileron....
I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I highly suggest
electric flaps. The manual ones are standard and a bit awkward to use
in the smaller cockpit of the -4....
