I have built a -9A and think I might now progress to a -4. Before I order I would welcome some comment re the pros and cons of the electric and manual trim. Also, how does the manual work. Is it a lever with a push/pull cable or what? Thanks, Steve. ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 07:13:55 PM PST US From: "Mike Kraus" Subject: RE: RV4-List: Electric or manual trim --> RV4-List message posted by: "Mike Kraus" I assume you are talking about pitch trim? I have the manual pitch and aileron trim, besides the location of the pitch trim (left side, a bit hard to reach back and adjust at times) it works great. It is a push pull cable. The aileron trim is a simple offset lever with springs on either side. As you move the lever one way, it puts more tension on the opposite spring and slightly pulls the aileron.... I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I highly suggest electric flaps. The manual ones are standard and a bit awkward to use in the smaller cockpit of the -4....
