It's painless, efficient and allows the greatest HP from some comparisons I did early on. It has served me well with no cracks or problems in 1500 hours... Fuel consumption obviously is a big concern now, and noise levels near a small community could develop into a problem...Specifically, do "straights" enable more power from the engine, and less fuel consumption?..Seems I read somewhere that "tuned" exhausts were the way to go...What is the advantage and disadvantage of each?..The engine is a Lycoming 0-320 E2A, modified to 160 HP..........Thanks..........CHEERS!!!!..........Gene Smith. ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 07:19:56 PM PST US From: "Gene Smith" Subject: Re: RV4-List: Exhaust pipes. --> RV4-List message posted by: "Gene Smith" www.vansairforce.net/vetterman/VettermanExhaust.htm 605-745-5932......................CHEERS!!!!........Good luck.............Gene Smith And thanks to Smokey Ray........That's the route I will go!!!!............DOUBLE CHEERS!!!! ----- Original Message ----- From: Subject: Re: RV4-List: Exhaust pipes. > --> RV4-List message posted by: rv4joe@sofnet.com > > Does anyone have contact info for Vetterman? > Thanks, > Joe > > > -----Original Message----- > From: rob ray > To: rv4-list@matronics.com > Subject: Re: RV4-List: Exhaust pipes. > > --> RV4-List message posted by: rob ray > > Gene, Go with the Vetterman straight 4 pipe system on the RV4.
