Wally, I mounted my Throttle on the lower longeron as well and used an A/C Spruce
cable 50" long and snaked it through the firewall. My mixture is mounted on
the side on a separate vernier control to keep the throttle quadrant with one
lever, like a real fighter...ha!

I have two of Van's controls that are 55 inches long, as listed in the
catalog. Thinking these must be for use if you place the control on top of the
longeron per the drawings. I am using a quadrant that will be perhaps a foot
below the longeron. From that location, these seem to be approximately 7
inches too long.
Question: What length have those of you who located the throttle and
mixture on a quadrant in the lower location using?
Happy Flying Safely,
Wally Hunt
