Hi Listers,
Gotta share this with you. I make a 400 mile commute every week, either 2.2 hours
flying a RV4 or 6+ hrs driving. Was complaining to a buddy about tired butt
& aching back when he suggested I get an Oregon Aero seat. I did and just
put in the bottom half, non-upholstered, and threw a towel over it.
I cannot articulate the wonderful difference this has made. I've flown 4, 2 hour
trips now and not once did I have to rock and shift the ole cheeks. Felt so
relaxed at trips end. Please forgive if I sound giddy about this. I feel as
though I've just discovered fire. I was so comfortable!!
Was about to order a -7 QB kit just for X-country comfort, but am looking at my
-4 in a different light. I've flown many 6 and 8 hour jaunts, but was always
pretty "beat up" afterwards. This is renewing a love relationship with my -4.
Am planning more & longer trips now.
I thought I had a real good seat cushion that I made. Man was I ever wrong. I'm
5' 8" and weigh 220.
Does anyone else use this seat with a parachute? Sure would like to know. Would
like backup, but hate to ruin the comfort. Your thoughts would be most appreciated.
Thanks gang and happy safe flying,
Deal Fair,

Hi Deal, After a FL-ID in one day last summer, (10.7 hours and 4 fuel stops) I
bought an Oregon aero bottom for my front seat too. Mucho better. I can't fit
my seat pack chute on with the bottom cushion so I had the chute made with a bottom
cushion attached. I remove my bottom cushion for acro and wear a strong
parachute co. RV4 model. .
www.strongparachute.com They make a specific RV4 parachute...
see ya!
