Subject: | RV4 seats and 5th belt attach point. |
--> RV4-List message posted by: "Steve Sampson" <SSampson.SLN21@london.edu>
I am interested to know how the 5th seat belt points are usually installed on an
RV4. VANS arnt telling! When it comes to ordering seats the seat makers will
presumably make an assumption as to how this is done.
Front seat - this seems pretty straightforward. - I presume a vertical bracket
(unbent) coming off the front of the main spar. Is this the normal way?
Rear Seat - This is less obvious. One solution would be a similar bracket coming
offf the rear of the rear spar. It would have to have a step built in to take
account of the spar doubler. (I worry it would also cause male passangers to
start squeaking since it would be quite far back?)The alternative I see is of
the front side, but the flange of the spar gets in the way. What is that the
normal approach?
A Happy New Year to all of you.
Steve.
