That is the beauty of fiberglass. made extensive mods to mine in order to achieve the fit I needed for various interferences (oil cooler, airbox, etc.,) craig ponnequin

--> RV4-List message posted by: rob ray <smokyray@yahoo.com> Before you plunk down the cash for a new cowl, take some measurements and see how it will fit. The 0-360 is 2" wider than the 0-320 and the previously mentioned airbox dimension differences. That's the major cowl difference, but as the previous message suggested, you can buy alot of glass and resin for $400. Also, Sam James makes a nice speed cowl for the 0-360 RV4: www.jamesaircraft.com I am still running my old 0-320 vinylester cowl from 1992 with many repairs, patches and new paint, but it still WORKS... VANS tell me I will therefore need an O-360 cowl because the injector body is deeper than the carb. QUESTION: How do the two cowls differ. Is the 360 cowl still flat across the bottom, or does it have a step down to accomodate the air box? Is it perhaps just flatter further forward before it curves up? Any comments on the aesthetics? Thanks! Steve #4478 --------------------------------- Photo Books. You design it and well bind it!
