Subject: | Problem with canopy safety latch installation |
Hello everyone: I am installing the canopy safety latch. When I put
the SL-1 (safety latch arm) in place (so that the C-615 spring is
parallel to the fuselage side rail and the main canopy latch pushes
against the tab on the latch arm), I find that the safety latch arm is
about 3/8 inch longer than it should be to properly ride under the
striker plate as per the instructions. I could find another piece of
steel and make a shorter latch, or put a spacer between the fuselage
side rail and striker plate. Has anyone encountered the same problem?
What did you do?
Thanks in advance. Donna Turrentine
