It is a Sensenich fixed metal (no RPM limitations). The final thing (internal engine component balancing) had the engine over reving the factory recommended limits so I had it repitched. I would have to look it up but I know it is 1" less than maximum allowable (they will know). If I had to do it again I would go to the max. When it comes time to replace the cylinders I will probably go with flow matched which could conceivably move the RPM up again. Climb RPM went down to 2300 max but the climb rate hasn't seemed to change. Launch is slower but unless you operate from 1000' strips it shouldn't be a factor. Jim What type of prop are you using,?? and do you know the pitch?????? I have a 4 with a 180 as well and am do a prop swap.?? It flies fine solo with full tanks but is still real easy to load to max aft CG unless careful. There was a time when I thought a 200hp would be nice but over the years of cleaning things up, tuning,?and adjusting rigging etc it pushes the envelope already. Sometimes indicate 220mph S&L on low density altitude days. Still climbs at 3000fpm+ solo and sometimes see 4000 on half tanks. BTW, I bought the plane used about 12 years ago with the 0-360 and wood prop. It was a pig back then and was lucky to see 185mph. ? Jim Need a new ride?
