I just had my RV4 painted and the paint shop forgot to install the tape on the leading edge to protect the flap surface. Do the flaps have to be removed to install the protective tape? Thanks in advance for the help! Did the shop paint the aircraft with them on then? Before you move them you might want to slide some stiff brown paper between the flap/wing to protect them while you move them down. Goodluck. They did remove the old tape and "forgot" to replace it.
