Walker" All I am currently considering an RV-4 for purchase that is strictly day VFR. It has no lights whatsoever. I'm trying to figure out what the level of cost an effort would be to install nav/position lights and taxi and landing lights. Any ideas? What are my different options such as wing-tip vs cowling placement for lights? Thanks -- Martin C. Just price the lights you want. The level of effort is the tough one. Did the builder drill the holes through the wing ribs for wiring before skinning? Did they drill the lightening holes in the wing ribs? If there are no holes to get the wires through the wings to each tip, it would be a giant pain in the posterior. If they are there, it will be a good project for you this winter.
