Hi RV Builders,
Katie an I are hard at work finishing the RV-4 I started way back in 1988! The
New Dynon Skyview 10 Touch Panel is going to be pretty sweet.
But here's a question. I need to redo the skin that covers the front battery box
area and front stick control and also forms the pilot's seat ramp. I have
the preview plans CD for the RV-4, and cannot for the life of me find where this
skin is called out by number e.g. "F-4xx" nor the dimensions for cutouts etc.
Can someone tell me what the F-number of the part is? I think it was a part that
was precut and pre bent by Van's, so it must have a F-Number.
If you can find the plan sheet and maybe email me a scan or pic, that would be
very helpful, too!!

Hi Matt,
Wish I could help, but neither of the two -4s I've owned had covers over
the center 'tunnel' area between the pilot's calves, or over the pilot's
stick area. I've got a ramped seat bottom, but the front of the ramp
ends several inches aft of the stick.
BTW, if you're still building, the shelf formed in the firewall by the
pilot's footwell makes a perfect home for an SLA battery....
