Subject: | Map light for tipup |
--> RV6-List message posted by: "lothar klingmuller" <lothark@worldnet.att.net>
Now that I made my first night cross country flight, I realized that I will need
to install a map light. A flashlight with a string around the neck is OK, but
really not too user friendly.
Looks like the best location is in the middle of the roll bar, right where the
canopy lock handle is located. With all these new small LED lights on the marked,
I am thinking of attaching one of these little lights with a Velcro strips.
But most of these lights seem to be to bright, have a real white/glaring
light and cumbersome switches.
Has anybody used the miniature eyeball cockpit light from ACSpruce (p/n 11-07800)?
What other options are there.
Would like to hear from night fliers!
