The plane is basically all there but definitely still needs more than a few tweeks. I inquired at Vans but they don't sell the actual plans anymore Anyone have an extra set of plans they would like to sell or could copy for me? It would be GREATLY appreciated thanks -Joe ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 06:32:01 PM PST US From: "Fred Stucklen" Subject: RV6-List: Another RV-6A take to the air! --> RV6-List message posted by: "Fred Stucklen" Listers, Tonight, N926RV, my new RV-6A took to the air for the first time.... No surprises on the 20 minute flight circling the airport (7B6). Everything stayed in the green, and the plane trimmed up very nicely. It might require a slight rudder trim, but otherwise, flew straight and level. The new Aero Sport Power O-320-D2A performed flawlessly. Much to my surprise, the FAA did give me the very large test area I had requested. It's basically a 50 NM circle with a 50 NM X 25 NM rectangle intersecting the NW corner of the circle. This area has two airports (IJD & EEN) with runways in excess of 6000', and a full ILS into an uncontrolled field (EEN). This plane is equipped for IFR operations..... So now, if the weather here in New England will just cooperate, I need to get all the flight testing (40 Hrs) done in the next 5 weeks so I can bring it to the North East RV Forum in Oswego NY on Sept 30'th...... My wife sure knows where I'm spending the next two weeks of vacation time!
