Dean,
If you can't find an experienced rivet gunner you could back rivet them
with the help of someone with little experience. I used this method, which
worked perfectly. That way you can crawl inside with your trusty rivet gun and
have someone outside with a bucking bar. I made a 2" dia. bar that weighs about
two pounds. polished the face of it and back riveted every thing I could get
the gun on. Just a thought.

Steve,
A friend at the airport had what sounds like the same problem on an RV6.
After some wire tracing we found the ground wire for the radio had a broken
screw on the grounding terminal. You may want to look were your radio is grounded
just to make sure.
