I have my prop off of the 0320 if you need to borrow it.
How is the plane coming, going to fly it in the spring.
I just ordered a Europa for my next project be here in November.

I had one come with a big nick in the trailing edge. Looked like a UPS
worker used a Hook on the box....

I came across a buy on a Avid and actually bought it. It was factory made
completed in '86, but on a 100% complete inspection I discovered that when the
prop bolts were loosened for removal (and replacement just in case the very
miniscule surface 'corrosion' on them might weaken them or set them up for
fracture) there was some wallow or slackness between the bolts themselves and the
bolt holes. Can anyone tell me the tolerances that are acceptable for bolt
surface scratches? Any standards for prop bolt surface 'defects'? ie. what kinds
of things should we be checking for actually. And finally, can this be fixed
in the wooden props, for example with flox and then redrilled to 'Blueprint'
dimensions and bolt circle? Or is the prop bolt hole,for example, the only
'port' for equilibration of the props' internal moisture content? (???) Lots
of
considerations. We are always told to check the prop, check the bolts,
check for corrosion/wear, etc, etc. but what exactly do we use for standards, and
what standards apply to which and wear? Thanks , Col Geof

UPS should be held liable and immediately have claim at time of
receiving shipment and have another coming instantly!!!!! I think
the UPS should do a lot better than they have - I hate to have them
deliver anything but some companies will not ship other than UPS!!!
