Subject: | windshield grab handles |
I'm planning on installing grab handles on the roll bar to assist
ingress and egress. I'm also thinking that 2 per side might be better
for that situation. However, has anyone had any problems with cracked
windshields from using grab handles. Thanks, bob in Salt Lake City,
working on the instrument panel structure.

I have one per side and they're located where I can grab both from the pilots seat
(so should be able to grab both from copilot seat too).
IMHO, two per side may weaken the roll bar with a 'row' of holes and concentrate
stress on one side of the center support.
No problems with cracked windshield - but no problem with cracked targa strip......
