Subject: | F-641 / pushrod interference |
Hi everyone,
Has anyone else had any problems with the pushrod
bumping the bottom of the F-641 with the control in
the full forward position? I have checked and double
checked both the pushrod installation and the mounts
for the control column and am unable to get it any
lower. I spoke with vans a while back about it and
they said to just cut a notch in the center of the
F-641 at its lowest spot so it doesnt hit the pushrod.
Also this notch will be between the side panels for
the electric flap actuator.
Any ideas folks? I am at a loss....

Erik:
I have just a tad of interference as you mention. It is very minimal, and
IMHO will not be a factor.
Unless you do some major acro, how many times are you going to apply full
down elevator?

Erik,
I had the same problem on my 6A. The control rods are not adjustable to get this
issue resolved. Grab your half round file or dremel and make sure you have
~1/8" clearance underneath. You don't want this part to hang up at any time.
