Greg,
No, I don't have any pictures of the trays over my instruments, but I'll
take a few and post them. I have a special tip-up front gasket (see
_www.petesrvaviationproducts.com_ (http://www.petesrvaviationproducts.com) ) which stops
the water from entering when the canopy is closed. The problem is keeping
water off the instruments when I open a wet canopy and some water cascades
down and then rearward (tail-dragger). That small amount of water I catch in
three long, narrow (2.5") trays mounted against the rear side of the firewall
and over the forward half of the gauges. I learned after losing my
transponder to rain a year ago that Van's tip-up front gasket and design gives
limited
water protection. That got me thinking about a better solution to keeping
water out of a tip-up canopy.
