Subject: | Installing the Vertical Fin on a RV-6AQ |
After installing the vertical fin on my RV-6AQ I find that the rear edge
of the vertical fin is 3/16 - 1/4 inch forward of the rear edge of
fuselage skins. I assuming that rear edge of the fuselage skins is to
be trimmed to match that of vertical fin.
Is this correct? I have not found anything in the plans or instructions
that addresses this.
Thanks.

If your rear spar lines up with the rear bulkhead (it must, or how did you
mount it?) then everything is fine. Trim the trailing edges to match. I
waited until I fit the empennage fairing and then trimmed everything at
once.
