Subject: | Filler for unwanted Rivet Holes |
Greetings:
What material have you Builders used to fill in a couple of unwanted holes
in the Skin, where a rivet can NOT be placed to plug the hole ????
Is Super-Fil a possible solution ????
Thanks,---Garey Wittich- Santa Monica, CA

and center. Al this was done...there is no play that I can feel or hear...
So=2C on the ground everything is well....but=2C when flying=2C I notice
=2C ailerons are not aligned=2C when
flying straight and level..there is a difference of about 1/4'=2C on each s
ide...
I cannot understand... I called Van's they did not understand my question

Maurice,
If the misalignment is with the flaps..it's not unusual for the flaps
to position slightly higher in flight then on the ground, due to lifting
loads. Having said that, as long as the flaps/wings are symmetrical
during flight I wouldn't worry about a slight misalignment. But that's
me, I gave up on perfection while building my 6A and decided to settle
for the best I could do. As an aside, lifting loads will also remove all
the slack from the ailerons and possibly cause a slight misalignment
with the wing tip trailing edge.
I hope this helps.
