      Yes. That was the standard Vetterman method back in 2003 when I hung my engine
      and it has been trouble free for coming up on 700 hours. The hangars attach to
      two of the bottom bolts that secure the oil pan and use the same rubber hose
      and steel tube attachments that Vetterman supplies. I don't understand why he
      went away from that method because it makes much more sense, at least to me, to
      hang the pipes from the engine.

      The reason why he changed the mounting from attatched to the engine to  
      attached from the engine mount was the engine hanger steel ends were cracking 
      
      off where they were attached to the engine pan bolts

      Interesting, I have heard about that so I check those hangars at each oil change
      . No cracks yet, and if they did it would not be a big deal to replace them.
