Subject: | Avery Rudder Cable Fairing |
Thanks for the responses!
I will install the clamp.
So, to take it a bit further, I am assuming that the fairing should not
trap the 3/8" polyethylene tube against the fuselage skin so that the
rudder cable can be removed with the fairing riveted in place. Thus,
the 3/8" x 1 1/8" oval opening that I have made should be longer.
Correct?
Thanks.

I second Jeff's installation. You would hate for something to jam back
there someday if the tubing came loose.

Subject: | Re: Avery Rudder Cable Fairing |
I have that tube extending out into the fairing. The fairing is
actually helping to direct the tube/cable toward the rudder horn. I
guess if I had to remove the cable, six rivets drilled out and the
fairing is off. To be honest, I doubt if I ever will need to remove
those cables.
