I will install the clamp. So, to take it a bit further, I am assuming that the fairing should not trap the 3/8" polyethylene tube against the fuselage skin so that the rudder cable can be removed with the fairing riveted in place. Thus, the 3/8" x 1 1/8" oval opening that I have made should be longer. Correct? Thanks. The fairing is actually helping to direct the tube/cable toward the rudder horn. I guess if I had to remove the cable, six rivets drilled out and the fairing is off. To be honest, I doubt if I ever will need to remove those cables.
