Pitch Metal Propeller
Thanks to all of you who replied to my question. I believe that I can
use the argument that the RV-8 is certified to 1800 lbs. I understand
that for structural reasons they would not object to an increase in MTOW
as I have found some RV-6As which have been approved at such an MTOW.
What I think would be a concern is if the propulsion system can propel
an aircraft as such a take-off weight. Therefore I am looking for an
RV-6 or RV-6A (or perhaps an RV-7 or RV-7A) with a Lycoming O-320-D3G
engine and a 79" Sensenich Fixed Pitch Metal Propeller which has been
approved at a maximum take-off weight of 1800 lbs or thereabouts. If you
know of any please inform me. Thank you.

Van's shows the 150hp O-320 as an engine option for the -7 and the MTOW of
1800 lbs is not qualified by engine model or prop or any other option.
