I believe that I can use the argument that the RV-8 is certified to 1800 lbs. I understand that for structural reasons they would not object to an increase in MTOW as I have found some RV-6As which have been approved at such an MTOW. What I think would be a concern is if the propulsion system can propel an aircraft as such a take-off weight. Therefore I am looking for an RV-6 or RV-6A (or perhaps an RV-7 or RV-7A) with a Lycoming O-320-D3G engine and a 79" Sensenich Fixed Pitch Metal Propeller which has been approved at a maximum take-off weight of 1800 lbs or thereabouts. If you know of any please inform me. Thank you.
