This is a heads up in case you haven't heard about this yet. It calls for
inspection of the horizontal stabilizer front spar before further flight.
This is definitely a safety issue so don't blow it off. I haven't done the
inspection yet and I really hope I don't have cracks as the repair appears
to be a nasty job. To view the bulletin, go to the following:

say that this inspection should be done during each annual until the repair
is accomplished. It seems they are telling us that sooner or later cracks
will show up. This applies to 6's, 7's and 8's both tri-gear and tailwheel.
It would be interesting to know how many folks find cracks and at what
numbers of hours. It also would be interesting to see if the repair work is
as bad as it sounds in the SB.
