Does the quickbuild fuselage kit come with preformed longerons? These
things are pretty frustrating.
When I started the fuselage, the instructions mention as how everything is
cut so precisely so as to not require jigging -- just put it all together on
some sawhorses and it must fit. Then, four pages later, these same set of
instructions are calling for "artistry" and "finesse" in order to get the
longerons perfect. Argh!

QB fuselages come mostly riveted already...yeah, the longerons are pre-bent,
pre-drilled (afaik), etc. What wusses! Juuust kidding. 8-)
Just keep at it and you'll get 'em. A little bit at a time. It can take a
LOT of iterations to get 'em perfect. What technique are you using to bend
them?

Brooks,
I dont have a clue about the quickbuild, but to make you feel good:
a. it took me 4 man days to get the longerons right,
b. longerons dont stick to your fingers like proseal, and
b. you need much more artistry and finesse to get the canopy right.
Remember to tell yourself you are doing this for fun.
Regards,
David Francis, VH-ZEE, Canberra, Australia.
