Bondo...............wouldn't think of it!!  Rivet gun 
blows..................where?  I've talked with several people who had 
walked this path previously and each one said they would do it 
again..........seems their experiece differs with yours:-)  Black it is.

BTW, got my 7.2" LCD screen in yesterday that attaches to my DVD/MP3/CD 
player yesterday, this fits nicely in my black carbon fiber instrument 
panel:-)

If others can polish their planes to perfection, then you can paint it
black.  Use Superfil to smooth over the rivet heads, not bondo, Superfil
won't shrink/crack.
