Welcome Dave,
I too decided on the RV7A after about 20 years of wanting to build an
airplane. You will learn a lot by monitoring several newsgroups. For
electrical I strongly suggest aeroelectric-list@matronics.com. There are
others for engines etc.
Where are you located?

I have just decided (after 20 years) to start an RV7 and have received
the empennage kit, after reviewing the web (and being overwhelmed) for
tips etc I noticed two discussion areas with this kit a) lights/no
lights/light type and wiring/loom routing for the elevator electric
trim. Is there a concise recommendation somewhere for these subjects and
do I have to make these choices before I start?

Dave
My name is Frank Stringham and have homes in SLC (MURRAY) and ST George and will
be building a 7A. I will be ordering the empennage this week. I have spent
some time trying to Build a VISION (Composite....RV6A Clone). Finished the HS
/ lower fuse / and the seat. Didn't like working in composite. A lot of mess,
slow progress, and you had to cook every part. Very time consuming. It would
have been a beautful / slick plane that I might have fininshed in maybe 2050.....At
least I will be prepared for the fiberglass parts of the 7A. Luck and success
and I hope in the future you would allow me a chance to take a look see
at your progress.
Thanks in advance
Frank
