Listeres,
How does the FAA Bill of Sale form work? Do I fill it out and mail it to Van's
for signature, do they mail me one already filled out if I request it, or do
I just put "Van's" under who I got it from and call it done?
Also, under "value" what's the recommend amount? What the basic airframe kit from
Van's cost?
Man, I can't believe how many forms there are to register this thing...

I don't know what the tax situation on A/C is in your state, but I'd leave the
"value" section BLANK!

Matt:
Call Vans and follow their directions. It's been nearly a year and I don't
recall specifics but I do recall it was no big deal; I had the paperwork
back from Vans in no time. Vans deals with those things literally every day
of the week and folks there know exactly what needs to be done.

My experience several years ago when buying and selling many aircraft, on
the FAA form we always put $1.00 OVC.
OVC is Other Valuable Consideration.
