Thank you for all your comments on fuel pumps and fuel selectors. Another
area that I am starting work to work on is the electrical system. The Vert
ical Power VP-X systems seems to greatly simply the wiring process. I woul
d appreciate any feedback on using the VP-X=2C I admit I am electrically c
hallenged and anything to simplify putting together the electrical system w
ould be helpful. Does is save time and simplify the wiring process?
Thanks in advance.

You need to make sure the EFIS system is approved for use with the VP-X. I
want to use the VP-X but the G3X is not an approved EFIS for VP at this
time. I wish it were because I would definitely be using one. If you were
going to add WigWag, trim Safety etc=85to your build the VP almost pays for
itself.

I've installed the VP-50 because I don't have the fancy, schmancy EFIS
that you need for the VP-X. I love this system. I guess the VP-X is even
better. The other day I added wig-wag capability to the plane. I didn't
need to do any more wiring, or buy any wig-waggy equipment. I just
needed to do a software upgrade ( a free upgrade). I've added a section
to my blog about VP
http://rvnewsletter.blogspot.com/search/label/Vertical%20Power
I've included a video in there about how easy it is to hook up a
component, and get it running. The biggest thing I like about VP-50 is I
have a TON of panel space available because I don't have a lot of it set
aside for circuit breakers and switches.

Hi Heyden,
I have the Vertical Power VP-200 system in my RV-8 and love it. I wouldn't build
another homebuilt without one. I have a great deal of experience documentation
on my RV-8 Construction log under the "Electrical" and "Avionics" sections.
Below are links to each. Scroll down on the respective pages.
Electrical System

Avionics Systems

(Look around 03-25-2009 for the final wiring installation).
Marc Ausman of Vertical Power was a tremendous help to me during the design and
installation of the electrical system. My score for the VP-200 system? 10/10.
Hands down the coolest way to build a modern day aircraft electrical system.

Has anyone used the Aveoengineering fuel selector valve yet? It really loo
ked like a quality valve.
