After taking great pains and several hours to adjust the canopy frame as cl ose to the specs as I could=2C the frame moved very smoothly on the canopy rails. After drilling the canopy to the frame and putting it back on the c anopy rail it binds. The frame is being pulled outward by the canopy. Whe n I move the edges of the canopy inward it moves freely again. Any suggestions on how to fix it without cracking the canopy? Very frustrating. I think I removed the canopy from the frame and kept bending it more even though there was a suggested c hance of the frame cracking at the drilled holes=2C but I proceeded any way carefully and the frame did not crack. eventually it worked and when I cle coed the canopy back onto the frame the holes still lined up and the canopy slides acceptably tho not as smoothly as I would have liked. This was my worst building experience by far and now am having trouble with the aft ski rts fairing with the fuselage when the canopy is closed. What a nightmare! I am not the one to ask about this as I have seen a number of sliders that seem to work quite well. No idea how they did it. It seems nearly impossibl e. The frame just seems not to fit the fuselage period=2C no matter how muc h you tweak it. If it fits up front it bulges in the back someplace else.Tr ying to bend a square steel tube defies the physics of steel structures. Ar gh!
