I was browsing the P-Mag web site this week. They look pretty cool, but the web
site really makes no mention of whether there's any real performance/economy
benefit to them. Does anyone have any real world experience along these lines?
I've got two standard Slick mags on my IO-390. If I dumped $2200 on a pair of
P-Mags, would I really notice any difference? The IO-390 already starts and runs
great. More power and better economy are always welcome, though...

them are in use in RV's in my area, KLVK, and so far it looks like they may have
worked through those early problems. I remain somewhat cautious but thinking
about starting with one and see how it goes.

I ran my RV7a for 170hrs on slick mags. I replaced them at that time
with dual pMags and auto plugs. I noticed a difference right away.
Starting was quicker - after 2 blades every single time, cruise was
smoother and fuel economy improved (more fuel burned in the cylinder due
to hotter spark/larger plug gap).
The engine is a stock O-360, so how it compares with and IO-390, would
just be an assumption.
I'm enough impressed with them that I am planning on installing their 6
cyl version in my 540/RV10.
