Subject: Cleaning Aluminum Skins
I am close to moving my RV7A to the hangar for final assembly. I plan on f
lying my RV before it is painted for a while and it has been sitting in my
shop for a long time getting dust=2C and whatever on it. I would like to c
lean the skins but I don't want to polish it. I would like some recommenda
tions on what to use to clean/wash it. I have heard there are some cleanin
g agents that should not be used prior to painting. Are there any recommen
dations out there for washing/cleaning the aluminum.
