My 8QB fuselage is ready and I had planned on picking it up in a rental truck.
Van's will help load it without crating so I save the crating charge and a little
on shipping.
A friend has offered to help me pick it up in a horse trailer he has (thoroughly
cleaned of course). Has anyone moved an 8 fuse in this manner? I'll ask Van's,
but I'm interested in other opinions as well.
Thanks.
Ken

ken..I live right across the street from van's..you would not nelieve some
of the things I have seen picking up the kits..believe me..most anything
will, and does work...just remember to carefully tie everything done
securly, and use lots of padding if it's not crated....remember to put
stress only on the "formers" not between them ..and you will be fine..van;s
makes the entire plane verrrry well, and it is STRONG...in fact in my
opinion, the entire line is tops..you cannot beat a van's kit for your
money's worth..gongrats ona great choice, and happy skys to you...jolly in
aurora, or.

OK, I give up...... I can't reach them with my squeezer and after spending
an hour grinding down a bucking bar to fit nicely, it's not heavy enough to
buck the rivet and now that I'm done throwing things around in the garage, I
thought I'd come in and ask.....
How do I squeeze the last rivets that attach the elevator skin to the
trailing edge of the 703 and 709 ribs????
