--> RV8-List message posted by: RV8ter@aol.com 1) I am putting the battery in the back and was putting the platenuts on when I noticed that only the master solenoid was to be installed with the battery in the aft location per the drawing yet I think I've always seen pictures on the 'net where folks put both master and starter solenoids back there together with the battery. Why would Van recommend against that and why are folks seeming to disregard that and installing both back there? 2) For those mounting the King ELT (big orange brick), how do you plan to change the batterys or otherwise pull it out without first removing the rudder/VS? My trial fit showed it wasn't going to come out with the VS on. lucky do not archive From: RV8ter@aol.com Subject: master and starter solenoid -------------------------------1078535234 Just in from the garage with yet another question after Van's has closed for the weekend. --> RV8-List message posted by: Mickey Coggins <mick-matronics@rv8.ch> Hi, To avoid re-inventing the wheel, has anyone got a design for putting two batteries in the back on an RV8? I'm looking at something about the size of an Odyssey 680, I believe. Thanks, Mickey -- Mickey Coggins http://www.rv8.ch/ #82007 QB Wings/Fuselage
