You are encouraged to read it carefully, and to abide by the rules therein. Failure to use the RV8-List in the manner described below may result in the removal of the subscribers from the List. RV8-List Policy Statement The purpose of the RV8-List is to provide a forum of discussion for things related to this particular discussion group. The List's goals are to serve as an information resource to its members; to deliver high-quality content; to provide moral support; to foster camaraderie among its members; and to support safe operation. Reaching these goals requires the participation and cooperation of each and every member of the List. To this end, the following guidelines have been established: - Please keep all posts related to the List at some level. Do not submit posts concerning computer viruses, urban legends, random humor, long lost buddies' phone numbers, etc. etc. - THINK carefully before you write. Ask yourself if your post will be relevant to everyone. Being close, shoulder-to-shoulder with your wife is nice......but it's a pain in the rear when it's a 200 lb guy with bad breath! I've been a passenger in both, and take the back seat of the -8 over the SBS arrangement ANY DAY! 2. You're so far along on your -8, don't sell it (at a loss of labor) to start the -7!!!!! Finish it, fly it, wait to see if she likes / dislikes, then change. They're worth more finished. Your wife's comfort when comparing the two is a minor detail. I knew a guy that got rid of his -4 and bought a -6 because his wife didn't like riding in the back. She never rode in the -6. Point there is that if your wife does like to fly, she'll enjoy either plane. Satisfy yourself!!!! She can see equally well out both sides and has more room. I also have built a Christen Eagle and my wife liked the back seat in that too. Besides the pilot is suppose to be sitting in the center of the airplane. Ever seen a bird with his head off center? You will find that most wives aren't interested in just drilling around for the joy of flying but are most interested in the destination. Consequently you will be flying solo a lot and center line seating is where it's at for that kind of flying. Also if the "8" doesn't have enough baggage space you're taking to much junk along.
